My poem “How to Prosper” was published 12-12-2025

It is called “How to Prosper” and it is drawn from Psalm 1 in the Bible. There is, however, a typo in the version that was published in Amethyst Review, which you can read here.

I wrote this poem in a workshop led by my friend and fellow poet Ed Miskovic. Every week we would read a different psalm and then write poems to respond to the psalm.

I’m grateful that this one was chosen for publication by the Amethyst Review editor Sarah Law. The second title line of her fine magazine is “New Writing Engaging with the Sacred”.
